Although these guys and gals eat steak and lobster on the reg, this was done to point out how eating meat is cruel to animals and bad for climate change.

quote:

Almost a fifth of the conference's sessions are on climate change or sustainability; the carpets are made from reused fishing nets; and attendees were served only meat-free options for lunch on “Future Food Wednesday” to encourage more sustainable diets.

They also called for higher taxes even though they have personally lobbied for tax breaks for themselves and their companies while also availing themselves of trusts and tax shelters to keep more of their own money.

quote:

Former Unilever boss Paul Polman, Innocent Smoothies co-founder Richard Reed and US real estate developer Jeff Gural were among signatories of a letter calling for higher taxation of the wealthy to reduce inequality. But all of them have previously sought specific tax breaks for their businesses.

Then they all got in their private jets and flew from this luxury Swiss resort to their winter vacation homes.

F*ck those dudes.

Also, I wish I could afford a private jet and a winter home in the Caribbean.

$20 probably gets you a winter home in Haiti.

Of course, it will be built out of visquine and pallets.

No, you’re not an elite.

You need to be taking shorter and colder showers and riding the bus to work.

Everyone has a role on this planet.
