Is this the new monkeypox?

quote:Well that's the fun thing about numbers. BOTH can absolutely be true. You just have to use the measure that's the scariest.
Does not compute.
For example. If a disease starts spreading and goes from 1 case out of a billion people to 10 cases out of a billion people, you simply report that it has grown by 1000 PERCENT!!!! That's pretty fricking rapid!!

I'm gonna go with the internal application of a good mid-tier bourbon as a preventative. It worked with covid.

It couldn’t be THAT thing, right?
Well, allow me to mention one thing that I’ve been thinking about that I find to be a very interesting thought. So one of the main symptoms or class of symptoms of both fungal infections as well as parasitic infections is lethargy, very notable lack of energy, stamina and motivation, and the other ones of that nature that you could think of. Keeping that in mind, another actually disturbing aspect of it is that you can live on for years and years without any “serious” medical issues related to the conditions, thus you never realize to go get it checked out. And both situations are very, very common and prevalent.
The conclusion, IMO, is that you wind up with a good chunk of the populace who are lethargic and don’t have the “get up and go” to do various things that certain interests in high places could find useful inasmuch as they can carry on kicking people in the balls, and those people hardly have the willpower to do anything about it. Both metaphorical and literally.
That may just be a farfetched fiction, but doesn’t it seem plausible though?

Well Pfizer recently reported their 2022 profilts were down from their record 2021 profits (surprise!), so they will create a new panic & a new fungicide (which won’t protect or heal you despite their marketing). Then the feds will mandate businesses to require it and pay Pfizer for it with our tax $. Record profits again!
Step 1) Release harmful and highly contagious fungus
Step 2) Sell "treatments" and "vaccines"
Step 3) ???
Step 4) Profit
Step 5) The Last of Us

The part that is rare is the severe illness or death. Most people who get it don’t even show any symptoms, about 40% have symptoms but most don’t have serious complications, that is more common for those over 60 or with compromised immune systems.
This article is 10 years old but I found this quote interesting:
Since Maricopa is ground zero for this illness, I went to check Maricopa’s most recent stats:
I realize this data doesn’t include most of December but… 2022 had the lowest number of cases in the last four years Everybody panic!
This kind of feels like multiple news sources (entirely of their own volition I’m sure) all decided at the same time to whip up a little fearmongering over a fungal infection that has been prevalent for more than 100 years in the American Southwest. Some years are worse, yes it depends on weather - wet winters followed by dry, windy summers can spread more spores to areas further away. We can blame “climate change” but considering the disease got its name from an outbreak in the San Joaquin Valley in the 1930s… I’m skeptical that the Dust Bowl was caused by humans, more likely just natural climate variation.

"Two-thirds of all Valley Fever infections occur in Arizona and 80 percent of those cases are in Maricopa County,"

As of 12/7/2022
Total number of cases reported for the year
2019 - 7,268
2020 - 8,157
2021 - 8,559
2022 - 7,162
*Note: 2021 and 2022 data are preliminary and subject to change.

God this board sometimes has some talent and effort. I do believe your post /thread’ed this unless anybody has a substantive response.
