Do you worry when it’s at capacity?

Doubt it's enough negative tests to move the needle much, but I do wonder what, if anything, it's doing to the nationwide positivity. Also wonder when they'll plan to dump all of the negative tests?

Family of 5 evacuated for Delta on 10/8. On 10/9, 1 started feeling bad. On 10/10, they had covid symptoms and was tested. The remaining 4 were symptom free. On 10/12, we were informed they were positive and 3 others were showing symptoms. The 3 were tested on 10/12. The 1 remaining is still symptom free. On 10/14, we we informed that 2 are positive and 1 is negative. So now we have 3 positives, 1 negative and 1 sympton free untested. Age ranges from 19 to 49. We live in the same house. We reluctantly were a mask everywhere we go and sanitize before, during and after outings. The test results makes no sense. If covid is so contagious, shouldn't we all be positive?

Are the two parents both positive? I could easily see kids in their teens and 20s not spending enough time around parents when they were symptomatic to catch it.

I am headed out to go camping this weekend. I won't have internet access, the dashboard and thread will not be updated until Sunday evening.

I hope mortality rate hasn’t risen to 5% by the time you come back!

Sister gets tested by her work (going to different hospital) after a weekend trip, she’s positive on Monday (no symptoms). Symptoms so mild she says she would have mistaken it for a post-workout cold. Lives with Fiancé and he never gets any symptoms. They had seen fiancé’s parents on the Sunday before she was positive. Fiancé’s mother gets it, but his father doesn’t

Possible that some of the "x didn't catch it" folks have already had mild infections earlier on and never knew it.

Also possible that the prior non-COVID coronavirus infection conveys immunity theory has basis in reality.

Also just possible that it's just straight dumb luck. My old man's lady friend played bridge with 3 of her friends a few weeks back. One of the friends goes symptomatic that night and tests positive. Calls the other three ladies. My dad's friend, who was directly across the table from her, tests positive and shows symptoms (recovered now), but the other two ladies, who were sitting to her sides, don't. My old man tests negative as well. No rhyme or reason to it.

It was very nice, a perfect weekend in the Ozarks, breezy 70 during the day, upper 30's at night, beautiful fall colors, and a moonless clear night where you could almost reach out and touch the Milkyway.

No. Some people are immune to COVID even though they have never had it. An alternative possibility is that the one who did not get it had it months ago and was asymptomatic, and is now immune.

Thanks for your response. I had forgotten that they were sick in February. It's very possible that they had it then.
