or their yacht payment will be missed.

The group text messages my wife (pharmacist with 75 others with PHDs) received from upper management at 11 pm at night (daily), 2pm (today) Saturday are so out of bounds...

"Send in your flu shot numbers"...

"We are way behind our goals" (goals they never shared with people who have to produce)

"you now have a lot of help, we expect big flu shot numbers to follow"

"Keep pushing" "#leavenoonebehind

it's infuriating... we know if anyone in the group text says something back to management, they will get canned. it's so wrong....

My wife and I are at a point of being tired of being bullied over stuff that Pharmacist have NO control over..there is only so much a human can produce ....

these two women in upper management have no sense of boundaries and what is professional...and how to treat professional people who also have families outside of work.

can you imagine your boss tagging you text messages at 11pm making you feel like you're a failure and you need to get more motivated to hit tomorrow? and To a entire staff or division? daily? who in the hell does this and thinks it's wise, beneficial and okay? Stores close at 8.

Every Flu shot goal since JULY goes up every week and has been pushed ..it's craziest damn thing I've ever seen a company do...CDC put out a warning to not do flu shots too early, but CVC management ignored this...

Pharmacist give all kinds of shots year round but flu season is something special, so special, they hired a bunch of "seasonal pharmacist...to help meet managements numbers for flue shots...but techs who help run everything smoothly during the year? No, keep the hours of help to bare min. overwork the pharmacist... no lunch break on a 12 hours shift... yeah, real wise!

CVS has ruined the profession

They don't give a damn about their employees, it's next man up...and they have plenty of young fools ready to be pushed around ...Sadly, there aren't other pharmacist jobs readily available in the market...

The only thing that make sense on the flu shot push is the government is paying CVS upper management big dollars to meet certain numbers.... flu shots are not really a money maker...so it seems on a local level. 35 each? maybe....

end of rant

The flu shot is nothing but a money maker anyway.

Independent analysis year to year usually puts the effectiveness of it at less than 20%.

CVS lost money during the COVID just like everyone else. Now they're trying to make some of it back.

If your wife got into pharmacy thinking the goal of Big Pharma is to help people, I'm sorry she's just now finding out the truth.

Helping people through pharmaceuticals is a relatively rare incidental side-effect, not the goal.

I told my employees at midnight last night that anyone who failed to hit their numbers today was fired. Maybe I’m just an a-hole

If you read today's text that went out you would laugh...

#Leavenoonebehind was just one of about 12 hashtags

Never have taken a flu shot and never will. I keep my immune system tuned up, give blood. Haven’t ever had the flu...

I would add that my wife often has to put in at least 1 hour, sometimes two after the store closes...so the next day is a clean slate for the next person in the morning...

this is what it takes....

and they push this none sense

I tell people it’ll be a 20 minute wait in between flu shots ... if they don’t wanna wait or wanna go somewhere else.. fine with me...

I’ve got to glove up, put the shield in, gather the materials and go into the room, do the shot , then wipe down all the equipment and chairs ..

Then come back into the pharmacy and check waiting prescriptions to not miss those times as that’s a key metric... answer the phone in a timely fashion as a benchmark ( also a key metric) and talk to doctors or nurses calling rx’s in...

I’m only one person and only I can do all of those things. I’m not trying to kill myself or someone . Not sacrificing safety

Target pays YOU $5.00 to get your flu shot from them. What is CVS paying?

CVS isn’t alone on this. There are plenty of pharmacies doing the same pressure tactics. The Flu vaccine is just a guess and misses the mark most years. It would honestly be better controlled by getting sick people to stay home from work instead of going in sick and spreading it, but that doesn’t make big Pharma money.

They need to be banned from giving them. This shite is part of the reason why they "don't work". It takes two weeks to form antibodies against the flu and they last about 3 months on average. These frickers are wasting shots. We used to not even get ours until early-mid october. All these people they are vaccinating now won't be immune by the time full fledged flu season hits.

Flu shots are nothing more than a way to get people in the store. They're pushing them so hard because foot traffic is down in their stores.

They must be making more than we do, because a whopping profit of $10-20 ain't worth the hassle.

This. They need to fine their asses and quit letting them do them. They've all being doing this shite since they let pharmacies give them. Makes flu shot worthless and the season longer.

My Walgreens has a sign outside that says FREE flu shots. It's too early to get a flu shot. I usually wait until at least Halloween.

I posted about this the other day. My CVS pharmacist called me and wanted to put me down for a flu shot "for the next time I come in" I have a feeling he will charge my insurance company if I forget.

It was really weird because CVS has automated texts of my prescriptions; and the pharmacist and I were joking one day... She called the automated guy, drunk guy because he texts out of no where to pick up 3 mos supply of my Rx YES or NO.

But now when my Rx's are ready for pick up-drunk guy automated doesn't text anymore...

The IRL pharmacist calling the other day was creepy. I felt like he was selling me a used car. He offered to go through my prescriptions one by one (I have 3) and answer all questions as a suck up for the flu shot.
