Curious to see this board’s response to this: which hurt which party more?

Questions that can't be answered but would be fun to debate at Thanksgiving dinner:

-How many votes did Hillary lose in '16 because of Russia hacking and release of emails?

-How many votes did House GOP candidates lose in '18 because of false collusion allegations about Trump & Co.?

I do think the dnc leaks upset and immobilized a lot of sanders voters

On the other hand, I think the cloud of collusion immensely hurt trump in suburbs in 2018 where national security is a big issue for people

Most of the Republicans that lost in 2018 were never Trumpers. The ones that embraced him mostly won.

I remember when the first "Intel" report came out about Russian meddling, and most of it was focused on the television station RT. But if you look at the broadcasters, media personalities, and experts they premiere, they are all American has beens or those that have been pushed out of the mainstream media.

I would argue that RT gives probably the most diverse set of views than any other channel in America.

So I don't know how much effect they have, but thank you Russia for your support of the 1st Amendment in at least our country.

No one outside the Beltway gives a shite about Russia. Literally no one. It was polling under 10% among "important issues" to voters.

Hillary didn't lose votes because of Russian Facebook pages. It was her personal email scandal, not the DNC one, that cost her votes. But people in the Midwest were completely repelled by her, so I'm not sure it affected the vote totals there much either.
