Where are the social workers and BLM?

I haven't seen NYC look this bad since Dinkins was mayor and the homicide rate his 30/100,000.

One cost of "flatten the curve" that was poorly, if at all, considered by the ID epidemiologists was the social strain created by shelter-in-place/lock-down policies. Other epidemiologists have known for years that isolation, loneliness, unemployment, welfare, and other unintended outcomes of such policies were independent risk factors for all-cause mortality, mental health disorders, and violence.
Perhaps it was unavoidable, but it can't be called surprising.
