Covid Restrictions Are Inhuman

I’m travelling and stopped at a Chipotle for lunch.
There was no dine in. And they’d gone to online orders only.
The restaurant was half filled with masked customers, they stood or leaned against the walls, waiting for the orders, and in the meantime, they stared at their phones, or their shoes.
But the room was silent. No one spoke to each other. No one made eye contact.
The kitchen staff was walled away behind their counter, masked, and seemingly a world away from the people in the restaurant. They emerged occasionally to place food on pickup tables.
It was efficient, and soulless.
-
Travelling across the country over the last few weeks I’ve been struck by how capricious these restrictions are. And how they distort our behavior, and bring out the worst in us as people. In this case, they were designed to eliminate any human interaction.
The sadness in that room was palpable.
We’re hurting ourselves.

Everywhere looks like an assembly line now, unidentifiable people with their only distinguishing feature covered with a mask, just stepping along, perfectly spaced. No friendly welcomes, no anger, just an assembly line marching on daily

Well they’re Marxist power grabs, so, yeah

This is how they want it. They do not value human life. We are simply worker bees.

It feels like a prison.

Amen. I went to my daughter’s open house yesterday and it hit home that she will have to play the ridiculous mask charade for almost 8 hours a day. It hurt my heart and really ticked me off at the same tine.

Not to mention the literal fear some people have of what used to be normal human interaction.
It’s crazy. Sometimes my tinfoil hat slips on and I wonder who came up with these rules and why.

We should have done nothing, but accept our fate and toughen up. None of this has been worth the cataclysmic jolt to our society, particularly since this virus has minimal or zero effect regarding our young.

You vermin crack me up, staunch defenders of China that you are.
You support Nancy Pelosi. That's makes you scum. You can say nothing to change that.

Oh, I definitely support Nancy P. I don’t even know why you would bring that up. It is as obvious as heat in August.
