These types of threads are never good when i see them on other platforms. We know there can be dick cops. The rest of them have a hard enough job not being black eyed by douchebags like this (i haven't watched it, but i trust you).
If the purpose of the thread is to decrease support for cops, you don't have my support. Despite what they represent, ultimately, we cannot lie to ourselves and act like we want to live in THAT free of a society without them. So let's do the good ones a favor and stop posting the trash. Just my $0.02

I disagree, and for this simple reason: there aren't always body cams. There should be, but there aren't. As someone who 20-30 years ago would have automatically given a cop more credibility in a he-said/he-said, I'm fine with the bad apples being exposed.

In this specific case, it's a clear example of a cop out of control and in the wrong, and the department stepping up, recognizing and acknowledging that, and firing him. A cop behaved badly and there was good oversight, governance, and consequences. Cops aren't perfect, some make mistakes, some are just ill suited for the job. In this case it worked out how it should.

Cop is wrong for blowing up and got what he got, but how about slowing down a bit when you see the light is out and there is a car with flashing lights in the middle of the intersection?
ETA: I'm assuming the downvoters wouldn't slow down for a police car in the middle of an intersection. Weird, but not really surprising.

Do you NOT understand the rage and anger caused by pretending bad cops don't exist? You fix things by addressing them and then holding the people at fault accountable. They are not fixed by pretending they are not there.

If the good cops would stop the bad cops (or at least publicly call them out), we wouldn't have to bring attention to them. There were two cops that came and did nothing to reign him in. So no, I won't sweep assholes like him under the rug. Cops only have themselves to blame by not shining the light on their bad coworkers.

It's not fellow equal cops' job to reel in bad cops. It's the admin's job. All this does is make ALL cops hated and makes people feel justified in shooting them or committing other heinous acts and enflaming a situation.
You guys don't know a damn thing about risk mitigation.
These videos encourage a -highly- unhealthy culture around for our police officers.
