Concealed-carry permit holder flips the script
LINK

Concealed-carry permit holder flips the script, shoots and kills alleged carjacker.

A Wisconsin man, using a gun licensed under a concealed-carry permit, shot and killed an alleged carjacker in his company’s parking lot, a city official said.

The unidentified employee, 24, had just arrived for work at Milwaukee Machine Tool Corp., shortly before 6 a.m. Monday when a man named Carlos Martin, 21, allegedly attempted to carjack him with a gun, Milwaukee city alderman Cavalier Johnson told ABC News. Police have provided few details.

The Machine Tool worker had a concealed-carry permit, Johnson said, and used his legal weapon to shoot Martin, who died from his injuries.

Try to steal someone's car and it might be the last car you try to steal. This teacher was armed and knew how to use it. He taught that theif a hard lesson.

We passed a 'shoot-the-carjacker' law here in Louisiana back in the 80s.

I guess some of you aren't familiar with a "play on words".
There has been talk about arming teachers. The guy that pulled the trigger is a machinist. The instant Carlos tried to carjack the machinist, the machinist went into "teacher" mode, and taught the would be car jacker a serious lesson; that is, you car jack a person who knows how to use a gun - You lose.
It's time to arm school teachers who know how to use a gun. If a kid wants to come on campus and start shooting, then the armed teacher can teach that kid a lesson too.
i hope this explains it.

As a concealed carry permit holder, I would never shoot someone stealing a car that presented no immediate physical threat to myself or others. Not because I intrinsically value the lives of car theives, but because it just isn't worth it.

Filing the police report and insurance claims and getting a new car are WAY easier than the hours of questioning and potential prosecution you'd face for shooting such a person.
