Apply for A&M. Join the corps and become a commissioned officer. Excellent networking opportunity

Those are very good scores but just not what they need to be for Harvard.

I have no idea how the ACT score but a 1450 on the SAT was good enough for the ivies when I went to school. Did they change how they score the sat?

32 ACT for a white non-athlete male isn’t going to get you in at those schools.

He will get into Tulane

Yep.

And my son had almost the exact same grades (little better on SAT) and was accepted to Tulane w/ a pretty nice scholarship (covers about half of cost to attend).

Does he know what he wants to study? If Aviation-related or STEM-related, send him to Purdue.

I’ve been to Purdue just to tour. It has a pretty sweet layout for a student union.

How many white Americans are waking up to this new reality where merit no longer matters?

Merit matters, just in the workforce.

It's what you can do for a company now, - skills - not that you have a worthless liberal arts degree from a University.

If he is talented, and can do something a lot of others can't - a college degree doesn't matter.

Average GPA of an incoming freshman in 2018 at UF was 4.4 with 30 act. Happy to be older otherwise I would have been at the equivalent of southeastern Louisiana.

Georgia and Florida are top 3 in SEC (academic admissions wise). Ducking from the Aggies

For Those schools you probably need a 34+ to even consider.

Doesn't Georgia have a limit on out of state admissions? 15-20%?

UGA is harder to get into than Clemson.

Jesus, GPAs are seriously inflated these days. At my HS, 4.0 was the max.

The irony here is these once these “great” institutions that are not accepting people based on merit will slowly become shite holes as the other schools get better.

They didn't count for extra when I took them. If you got an A, it was a 4.0

Dual enrollment or end up at a low tier state school. Sad.
