oh you think so

quote:

(CNN)Supreme Court nominations are legacy-making events for presidents. It's that important.

But the system for confirming new members to the bench, with just nine justices and lifetime appointments, has become as partisan as the rest of our politics.

I agree with the premise. But they’re just melting because she wasn’t supposed to lose.

I like how they pick, choose and manipulate Turtle's quotes. He clearly said, as norms have been, that cross party nominations in elections years do not fly. They never have and they never will.

Same party nominations always, ALWAYS, go through.

Everytime something doesn't go their way they think it should be changed to suit them. frick them!

All they've talked about is adding justice's so they can get back control of the court. After the election the Republican should add more seats and fill it with young conservative judges.

First these fricks want to do away with the Electoral College and now they want to rethink the SC process. Lets just say what this really is. If any situation in politics could be a negative for the Democrats regardless of the premises, they ALWAYS want to change it. Now if the situation is reversed, then the process would be fine and they would have zero issue. frick these people.

Paraphrased: “Our side is losing ground in the short term, and we’re short sighted, so let’s change the entire system.”

introducing new programming for the NPCs

does anybody still doubt that CNN and other media view their jobs as manipulation of the masses and NOT as a news provider??

God bless I can’t believe I’m about to say this. CNN is right.

But as it stands, elections have consequences. They should have won the presidency and senate.

I think the Constitution got it wrong on how SC is selected. The SC should provide a list of 9 judges to the Pres who nominates one judge and the full legislature should vote on the nominee.

“HAS BECOME”?

Their hero RBG was as political as they come. Including up until her dying breath according to them.

No. They made the court political and tried to turn it into an instrument to reshape this country to their wishes.

They lost and now they want to take their ball and go home.

frick em

Here is the most stupid suggestion you’ll find on the Rant today. This would create precedence, and the Democrats would just pack it in their turn. The Court would cease to exist as a judicial body, and it would become simply a shadow legislature. Your suggestion would usher in true democracy, which is a well known authoritarian evil.
