Just caught part of them broadcasting from the Oval office and they are literally mad Trump go Andrew Brunson released and blaming it on the pastors in American putting pressure on Trump saying he caved to them risking relations with Turkey.

Turkey is a terrible ally and a terrible country with a terrible human rights record. The fact that we continue to ally ourselves with them is based entirely on their strategic location. The British should have let the Russians take the Ottoman Empire out in the 1850s. It would have saved us and the rest of Europe a lot of heartache.

It's tough to call Erdogan an ally. Especially since he rooted out the last of the Kemalists from the army with that fake coup. And the Kemalists weren't exactly pro-West. They were more anti-6th century.
