1) it is ONE columnist at CNN
2)
frick me naked on a dead sprint!!
2)
quote:
“Lowering the voting age has the potential to increase turnout significantly. One of the biggest predictors of whether someone will vote is if they voted previously. Yet turning 18 is a tough time to expect young people to start the habit of voting. They are usually leaving home for school or the workforce, and they must navigate the hurdles of registering and requesting an absentee ballot if they are not at home,” writes Douglas.

If they lower the voting age to 16 than they better watch out for the 8 year olds.

quote:Well, if this Administration is going to crack down on illegal immigration and give minorities employment opportunities and more money in their pocket, the votes have to come from somewhere, right?!? It's not like creating voting blocks is a new strategy.
Yes, they think we need to let 16 year olds vote in order to ban guns. Voting age needs to be lower (they're serious).

Why stop at 16? I would be happy to help my 10 month old and 8 year old vote.
They are very pro 2nd ammendment and very opposed to abortion. They would also prefer to see a smaller government. Most of you guys would like how they would vote.

PROGS: We need to lower the voting age to 16 to get GUN BANS passed
CONS: Okay. But, lets lower it to FETUSES have the right to vote!
PROGS: Ummm...errrr.....I think 18 is probably the best age. Hell, we are open to RAISING it if you want!

There is some idiot law professor at Harvard who tweeted this out on the internet. That is where they are getting this idea from. He claims that 14 to 18 year olds have better B.S. detectors (those are his exact words) than adults do.
