CNN - Giddy over new French study that says Hydroxychloroquine doesn’t work.

On CNN television the anchor called the study “definitive” and the guess called it “a very important” study. Even though it’s just a record review study.
Mind you CNN dismissed the two original French studies bc it doesn’t fit their agenda of - Trump is stupid -. But this one study is DEFINITIVE!
I hate the media as a whole. Just a bunch of agenda pushing fricks.

The stories are saying the hydroxychloroquine alleviates coronavirus symptoms but doesn't clear the virus from the system. If you have ever had the flu or the cold that virus is still in your system but your immune system has overcome that virus. I think these stories are something for the ignorant to bite into. More people should do some scientific reading.

Looking just at deaths, 2.8% of the patients who took hydroxychloroquine died, and 4.6% of the patients who did not take it died. That difference was also not found to be statistically significant.
Okay, you can argue that this isn't proof HCQ works because it's a small study, but how can this be proof it doesn't work? The test itself showed a mortality rate with HCQ that's 40% lower than without it.

So this study is interesting in the it may not help people who are already having late pulmonary issues.
Many of us already thought it didn't help them.
Also these patients all were far along in the course of the illness. Again most would say not the best time to give it.
Finally the mortality rate was almost half the rate of those that didn't get it.
Since the numbers were small, that change was not significant.
This is not a definitive study. I'm not sure why we don't have numbers from New York City. They had thousands of cases.
Fact is I suspect that giving it to people early it is helpful. Again, since the majority of people get better by themselves, the percent change will be small, but small percent changes can turn into large numbers when it comes to the entire population.

Meh...you guys are wasting your time on the wrong long-term treatment option anyways. It's the plasma treatment that will work the best long-term besides a vaccine.
