Just a matter of time. This will be interesting.

"Such a portrayal makes it appear that the AJC sexually exploited its staff and/or that it facilitated or condoned offering sexual gratification to sources in exchange for stories. That is entirely false and malicious, and it is extremely defamatory and damaging," the letter said.

I wouldn't put anything past the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation to try and get a story

So there may be a law suit brought about because someone doesn't like the way the writer/director/producer had someone portrayed in a movie?

Damn, I guess Spike Lee, Quintin Tarentino and Oliver North are in big, BIG trouble now.

Considering how recklessly the AJC acted with regards to this story, you would think that doing this would be a Streisand Effect that would remind people who didn’t see the movie exactly what they did.

The main case I can think of where such a suit happened and had any merit was The Hurricane, where the filmmaker outright claimed that Hurricane Carter lost his title bout due to “a racist fix” and not because champ Joey Giradello knocked six shades of shite out of him.

The filmmaker settled with Giradello out of court and had to make a statement on the DVD attesting to Giradello’s fighting ability.

Clint's getting old...but his very popular and powerful 'Dirty Harry' disdain for Bureaucratic insanity would not play well in the current political dynamic. Just like with Brexit, the working folk are getting tired of the crap...and a potent "emperor has no clothes" voice such as Eastwood's would shame many Libs into the closet.

Go for it, AJC.

PS...don't think that Eastwood did not consider the civil liability aspect of his Movie narrative choice; the man is a meticulous craftsman re the details. He knew this would push the buttons...and it's the classic "go ahead...make my day" scenario.

Eastwood will get a Medal of Freedom. He's made the lives of responsible, freedom loving folk better.

Would love to see a pic of what the real AJC Character looked like. Not like this I suspect.

Yeah, but those violet colored eyes of Elizabeth Taylor were something else.

Eyes are fascinating. They are the reservoirs and manifestation of Life. The one thing I regret re my choice to live a low-profile life out in the sticks, is that I'll never gaze into the eyes of extraordinary people like this. I think it would be a fascinating education to do so. Next time maybe.

They had the typical outrage on Twitter about her portrayal. My favorite excuse was that she is dead and can't defend herself.

Let's get something straight - the press has never had any reservations of destroying some one for a story, false or not.
