Civilization is in a death spiral.

Liberals know it, but think they can change it by changing people's hearts and minds and establishing justice throughout the earth.
Conservatives know it, but want to make sure they are well armed and secure in their bunkers before the end gets here.
Well, everybody is wrong. Nothing will stop this. Institutions are being destroyed, governments are broke and in chaos, civility has broken down, people are slaughtering other people in the streets, and a Korean midget is aiming nuclear missiles at everybody.
No way to stop the death spiral. All the great causes that people can conjure up mean nothing. We are a fleeting speck of space junk in the cosmos. We will die and the universe will go on without so much as a burp as evidence that we were ever here.

Did you know that north of the equator death spirals spin counterclockwise as opposed to the clockwise rotation of death spirals below the equator?
