I’d rather we convict them of sedition and make them explain the role of those nations and any former presidents or presidential candidates in the conspiracy publicly in return for not going for max sentences.

I was fooled by Pompeo too, until he put Gina Haspel in as head of CIA when he became sec of state. She was station chief at London when all that Russiagate stuff was being run through there.
Instead of firing her, he promoted her, I knew then Dorothy was not in Kansas anymore.

There's two issues here.
1. Schiff, at the time, as head of Intel in the House for the majority, was entitled to that info. You can not deny 'Congress' that right and 'Congress' chose Schiff to represent it through a select committee.
2. On the other hand.... denying Trump loyalists the right to info on a political basis is the thing he should be in deep doo doo on. And it was known at the time it was being done. It continued on through the Biden admin by the way. Ever heard of the Mar-a-Lago raid? Biden removed clearance where MaL was no longer a SCIF which made it criminal (where it was previously a negotiation with National Archives) and predicated the raid by the FBI. Pompeo is the bridge between swamp/deep state and lawfare. It was done by taking out the means by which the targets could defend themselves by removing their access to information.
