Chris Matthew’s abusive work environment staffers compare to “battered wife syndrome”

MSNBC Host Chris Matthews runs an at times openly derisive and brazenly sexist news operation that has led at least some staffers to describe themselves as victims of “battered wives syndrome,” according to three of his show’s guests and two former producers who spoke exclusively to The Daily Caller. Two former NBC producers independently alleged Matthews would rate the looks of his female guests on a scale and said Matthews was so abusive that staff joked about being battered women. The interviews in total paint Matthews as a tyrant liable to fly off the handle at the slightest mistake, who was eager to objectify women and made inappropriate sexual comments appear to be a matter of course for someone in his position.

In other words if you work for Matthews, you'd better DO YOUR DAMN JOB! and do it well, or there will be consequences. Gosh, that's just awful. Terrible.

Shame on Matthews for criticizing poor performance.

As for a TV host to be worried about the telegenic appearance of his guests? . . . why, that's simply mortifying! What a horrible thing for a TV host to focus on.

So in the real world . . .
How about this.
How about the snowflakes working with Matthews be at their best.
How about they look their best.
How about they be the best at their job, or at least the best they can be.

. . . or how about if they can't stand the heat, they get out of the kitchen.

How about that?

I 100% agree with where you're going here. However, as public of a figure Chris Matthews is, he should have had a "manager" bark those orders out to keep himself (Chris) out of the line of fire. It's the same reason Tiger Woods's caddies where always huge dicks on tour. Tiger himself was a huge dick, but he couldn't have that bad press, so he had his caddie do it. And the people all thought Tiger was a swell guy.

Is Nick Saban a public figure?

As satisfying as it would be to see leftists devour another leftist like Matthew,

..I have a feeling he'd only be replaced with another Rachel Maddow who looks like Leslie Jones.

The grass is not always greener, just gayer.

Yes, but Not as public as Chris Matthews is. I'd argue that more people from the USA know who Chris Matthews is compared to Nick Saban. Also, I'd like to look at a list of Nick Saban's direct reports and their salaries and compare that to Chris Matthews direct reports and salaries. Something tells me that many people would have no worries about getting screamed at for $500,000 a year coaching.

Because Matthews himself is always at his leg-tingling best at all times, right? It's not like he ever says shite wrong, gets shite wrong, or shows his arse to the world, right?

quote:

How about they look their best.

Hard news typically puts content ahead of aesthetics, doesn't it? Brit Hume isn't particularly attractive, but he kicks the shite out of Matthews in every respect.

quote:

How about they be the best at their job, or at least the best they can be.

Because Matthews sets such a high bar, right? It's not like outright bias, advocacy, and carrying water for one viewpoint over another is a sure sign of shitty, yellow journalism or anything, is it?

quote:

. . . or how about if they can't stand the heat, they get out of the kitchen.

Because not being an a-hole just isn't an option, right? Fair criticism is one thing, being a tyrant and an a-hole is another. If you can't make your thoughts and feelings known without abusing people, you are an a-hole.

How about that?

Is Chris Matthews one of the ones who has made money off both sides, transitioning from right wing radio to left wing tv? I swear every talking head, no matter what station they're on are just garbage in-garbage out puppets.
