If I'm China, I'd go right now. The US is obviously leaderless and reeling from whats happening in Afghanistan.

To me, China's goal is to sabre rattle enough that Taiwan comes to the table to "officially become a territory" like Hong Kong was and then bleed them over time into the communist fold, and then silently take over completely just like Hong Kong.
Much easier than wholesale war.
Besides if they wanted to invade they would have to mobilize for a few weeks to get in position.

Not with a bang but with a whimper, the idiots are back in control and the US is back to being a just punchline on the world stage.
Thanks TDS folks. I'm sure your well pleased with the current state of things from the boarder to the people throughout the world that relied on our support to not be prisoned, or murdered.
How did your president put it? "You expect me to go to war with China over a few million people being put in camps?" (His response to a question about our abandonment of Afghanistan in which he referenced the millions of Uyghurs in concentration camps in China)
Imagine if FDR saying that about the Jews in Europe? Imagine Lincoln saying that about the black slaves here in the United States? (even though Lincoln agenized over the decision he had the common sense enough to not say I'm not tearing this country apart over a bunch of black slaves.)
You can't imagine it because they were leaders, and leaders lead for the right reasons. Biden is a fricking clown. Not even that, he's a puppet of a clown. Useless as a screen door on a submarine.
