in America debt. Who are they trying to kid? They don't buy our stuff then they lose a fortune. And we buy almost $500B a year in Chinese exports, still they are in an economic downturn. They can't stand the double whammy of losing money if they quit buying our goods and going into a serious depression if we quit buying their's. We hold the cards. A settlement will be made.

America's Total Net Worth Just Hit a Record High. U.S. households saw their total net worth rise to a record level of $84.9 trillion.

It’s 1.19 trillion of US treasuries that China holds. As of March, 2018

LOL! Just tuned in to breaking news and the "expert" guest Stephen Guilfoyle stated very plainly they hold $118T of American debt. And it's on their web site but that has to be BS! It is BS, but Fox still has it up. Must be $1.18T and the expert guy misread it.

Not even with a fixed flux capacitor could the Chinese pull that off.

Take it up with Fox on the math. But hell what's a few trillion among friends.

Well, it's not a few for one thing, and worst case scenario they flood the market with the still valuable U.S. treasuries and temporarily disrupt the bond market. At the moment, U.S. treasuries are still considered safe. China pitching a fit at their demise wouldn't change that long.

China dumps our debt? We lose borrowing power.

We can’t borrow as much? We can’t buy as much.

Vicious circle, lending to your main buyer.
