quote:

Unrestricted Warfare (???, literally "warfare beyond bounds") is a book on military strategy written in 1999 by two colonels in the People's Liberation Army, Qiao Liang (??) and Wang Xiangsui (???). Its primary concern is how a nation such as China can defeat a technologically superior opponent (such as the United States) through a variety of means. Rather than focusing on direct military confrontation, this book instead examines a variety of other means. Such means include using International Law (see Lawfare) and a variety of economic means to place one's opponent in a bad position and circumvent the need for direct military action.[1]

Apparently the only people of consequence who realize China has been at war with the United States for awhile is Trump and those close to him. He’s fighting them using their own methods.

They are wrong...
In our earlier incarnations, warfare leaders were already using the DIME...
More recently military has been proliferating these concepts to the lower ranks...
Military recognizes Diplomatic (includibg law), Intel (all spectrums incl cyber), Military (force) and Economic powers are exercised at the will of the POTUS...

Look at Stuxnet...which got Cartwright hemmed up. Nonetheless, it was outside the box.
We also concentrate on geopolitical positioning to pressure adversaries...
Lots of layers, it's not as prescribed in some movies like War Machine...

I can sort of see what your saying. I was simply getting at that Trump is clearly using economic warfare right now against China; I don’t recall anytime in recent history that we’ve leveraged it as much as we currently are.
