China launches DF-17 hypersonic missile off Taiwan Strait

Our military has developed systems that we cannot imagine. I suspect that hypersonic missiles would be the least of them.

Actually I do. Our government, especially military procurement is indescribably corrept. I 100% believe in the $2000 hammer and $500 toilet seat stories.

You know I remember those stories and you jogged my memory a little. I think alot of that shite was specialized items.
So yeah, maybe there was a 2,000 dollar hammer but it was some sort of specialized type of hammer needed to work on certain things. Same with the toilet seats. I think that part got alot of press because they needed a certain type of seat for some aircraft or maybe the space shuttle or whatever.
