If they can't advance economically, what does it matter?

Also, population is not what I'd consider China's long-term strength.

Fortunately Germany has a lot of built up good will on the world stage from its past policies of invading neighbors, gassing Jews, cheating emissions testing, and imposing high handed austerity on struggling southern European nations.

Another terrible take by you. China has a record 1 trillion trading surplus despite sanctions. China is a economic beast. We have awoken the sleeping Dragon

China's industrial and technical mite comes from the money American companies invest in China, buying their slave labor. Which group of Americans do you suggest we enslave?

Bring the air cooled bug back!

Affordable for everyman.

Easy to work on. Economical.

If not for meddlesome government regulations it would still be here.

Absolutely irrelevant to what I said, but I'm not shocked that you think that was a relevant response.

They have a lot of population is it better description.

Trade surpluses are also not necessarily a good thing, but I'm not shocked that you think that that would be.

That's nowhere near "slave" labor, especially for a developing nation

China has actually lost market share towards the bottom to cheaper countries like Vietnam and Bangladesh

The US gives much more in stolen taxpayer dollars to parasites, paying them not to work. Average income in China is less than 17K in US dollars. Which is absolutely slave labor, in comparison the US wages.

Sure, we're rich as frick. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Again, proving that this is nowhere near "slave" labor.

China sells a lot of cars in Europe. This is about building them in the EU to avoid tariffs. They’ll probably buy the factories for pennies on the dollar. It’s comparable to the Japanese building auto factories in the US.

You may not recognize this, because you are fricking dumb, but it means that to pretend that companies aren't investing in China because of their slave labor is either ignorant, or stupid. You choose.

LOL. Tell that to the Teamsters, or the UAW.
