I never thought Georgia would turn blue. Texas is moving there and it doesn’t appear to be getting better. If we loose Texas the Democrats will be in power for a long time.

I like the way Nebraska and Maine split their votes. Whereby electoral votes are based on who wins congressional districts with two more votes going to whomever wins the most districts instead of a winner take all. I’ve seen where Mittens would have beat Barry under this scenario. Regardless, something needs to change.

The libs hated the EC in 2016. Once they flip TX for good they'll cite the Founding Fathers on how necessary the EC is and how it's so relevant in today's world

How much of an improvement would that have made? Not sure its even the difference between being in the space shuttle as it exploded or in an airplane as it explodes.

It doesn’t really matter now. We are a one party country for a few elections until we figure out what to do with the void left by the GOP.

It's weird to see people who champion "the little guy" or minority causes (no problem with that) so readily accept something that will silence the minority states. To get rid of something put forth to ensure even the smallest states have some say in the presidential election.

Now nothing is stopping places like New York, Los Angeles, etc from becoming megalopolis'. Basically large masses of people voting as a block telling the country what to do.

I'd be ready for secession at that point.

I consider removing the electoral college an "intolerable act". We saw how that played out.

For those that don't know go look up the intolerable acts.

It doesn't matter. The America you knew is over. Dead.

Perhaps in 50 years when Mexicans are the plurality/establishment and they try to make Spanish the official language while blacks protest that it would be racist, will a new dynamic come to pass and a conservative Mexican movement emerge.

But the old world of Reagan is gone.

It didn’t. Are you pretending the election wasn’t rigged and 5 swing states didn’t shut down counting when Trump was up big?

Noooooo

This country is far center right. It’s a myth the country is split 50/50. It’s a media hoax. Trump just won in a LANDSLIDE and frickery changed it.

The people voted overwhelmingly against socialism and the Democratic filth and we allowed them to steal it.

Are you a rural Republican? If so, you should hope the Electoral College lives forever.

That’s fricking dumb dude. There’s a county in Mississippi called Issaquena that has like 1200 people total. They have to share their school district and hospital with neighboring Sharkey county

And both are blue as an Irish woman’s eye sockets

ETA plus the western states are massive and have like 10 counties each. Jesus Christ

Democrats will never try to make it a fair vote to actually include the entire population. They view most of the country as "fly over" peasants.

Republicans aren't much better.

We need to be sucking Mexicans dicks in the streets for any future hope here. Mexicans are good people and you probably have never been around them if you think otherwise.

It will never happen. States like Cali and NY wouldn't even consider it. The big cities are controlling the direction of the state and federal elections. It's not supposed to be that way.

To be honest it is supposed to by the legislature that select the POTUS. That gives the state legislatures a ton of power and that is how it is supposed to be.
