One of their players might have tested positive.
I don’t watch the NFL anymore, but I heard this on the top of the hour news.
The NFL has lost their minds.
Clear the facility and postpone a game because one player might be positive!

One would think that flu cases will be down relative to most years, considering that many of the "mitigation efforts" for Covid would also hypothetically reduce the flu's spread.

The flu spreads so widely here in large part because of schools and other large indoor gatherings that are not happening at this point. Distancing and all of that stuff will reduce flu infections as well.

I don't watch NFL but I'm a HUGE college football fan. I've watched 6 games a week this season and I've noticed that the play is VERY sloppy. The lack of early season on field practice has really effected most teams.
I don't see how the Big 10 and PAC teams can be rated when they haven't even started playing yet. They are gonna have big problems but they'll be playing each other so the W-L won't reflect it.

Well it's a "positive" result.

So it's a "positive" but they don't entirely trust their testing partners/supplies and have to double check the results with another test to verify the results.

How do you "might" test positive?

Either you did or you didn't test positive. You didn't "maybe" test positive.

At any rate.. hold him out and carry on business as usual. Wouldn't that seem to be the sensible thing to do?

I wish I knew if this person coughed once or twice, that's usually the indicator.

One cough and you're fine. Two coughs and you're on a ventilator.

Same here. It’s not the same, especially without crowds.
My only concession is LSU picked a great year to stink!

I didn’t know Christ Christie spent 7 days in the ICU over his covid infection. Damn.

Why didn’t Trump tweet anything?
