Well dipshit, most "grown adults" have something better to do that hang around and cry on a message board all day on a Monday.

That was my first point; Canada depends on the "US security umbrella". As someone has already said, you just made my point for me.
I am pointing out there is no global predator who has the capability, even without US power, due to the geography of Canada itself. This is the point you keep missing. There are other countries who are similarly insulated due to their geography except for a near neighbor, such as Ireland. So again, there is no global predator that is a danger to Canada even if the US was not a global power. You need to understand that before you pretend anything you wrote is meaningful.
Historically, Canada's only external threats was the US.
quote:
The US may be the current leader but modern militaries can project long distances in many different ways
None of which include invasion, which you referenced here:
quote:
they'll be vulnerable to any number of global predators fully capable of mounting such an expedition against a weak Canadian military.
I am telling you that this is not possible under current conditions. Why you now want to change the subject to ballistic missiles which somehow won't affect the US tells me all I need to know about your understanding of geopolitics.
If Canada was a closed off country, like Mexico was for long periods, they would still benefit from the US security umbrella because of the geography of the US as well as US interests. If the Atlantic relationship dissolved tomorrow (it won't), they still wouldn't be in danger to some nameless global predators.

Russia doesn't have the ability to execute anything on their Eastern coast. Russia is also not the USSR. Russia has massive trouble projecting power in areas where they have had centuries of influence. You think they could suddenly project power to Canada?
To be clear, Russia cannot. The USSR could have though. Which was also reflected in Canadian military spending patterns until the mid 1970's.

No, most definitely you are just unable to think clearly. You have a single belief, you refuse to consider anything else...
Understanding others is a skill, it's a sign of intelligence.

Now someone who is convinced that he understands the complex geopolitical realities of what the world would like without US power, and can not comprehend the theories of others...
That is a simpleton.
Elbows up Eh?

Ah yes, you claim without US power, but you bank that on a successful cold war victory by the US, then after creating the peace through strength, crushing the Soviet might, the US just falls apart?
Can you not see why your deeply held alternative reality holds no realism for most people?

You really are simplistic and foolish. You just want Trump to pick on Canada because he can. Makes you feel better about your own inadequacy. Apparently the little blue pill doesn't help with your "problem".
So you want to go after Canada for the sole reason that you are bigger? Can you please show the court where on the doll that the CANADIAN touched you?

Again, without US power, Canada's geography is its best defense. It is in a relatively unique position that few other countries can mimic. For that reason, in such a situation, internal issues would be the greatest security threat for Canada.
