I’ve shrugged off the crime in NOLA for a long time. I’ve spent a lot of time there, and it’s always been a violent city with these recurring crime waves. But lately the violent crime against non-criminals is totally out of control. Carjackings and robberies all over the city, not just the hot spots.
Not bringing my family back until they reign this crap in, and I suspect many others will do the same. Not good for the city and the decent folks who are still trying to run businesses and make a living there. But it just isn’t worth it.

They haven’t made Pontiacs since 2009, so that car was at least 12 years old.
