Well even in the States you only have rights to a certain amount of footage below your property. Anyone with enough money can get mineral rights directly underneath your property. This is not news.

They're about to pass a law empowering the Canadian version of our FCC to ban Youtubers who produce videos painting Canada in a bad light.
