A 1500 equipped the same way as my 2012 when it was new is now $11,000 more in a 2017. I was told that if I want a 2018 add $2000 to the price. This needs to be regulated. I never thought I'd see a mid level 4x2 sell for almost $50k

My dad bought a barebones truck for less than 20k. Either you can afford it or you can't.

Paint prices due to EPA regulations be driving up the price. Thank a Libby.

He'll reduce regs and hopefully the prices will come down.a bir

My 14 slt 2500 was 63. I went for a big horn, but decided to save a few $$ and get the slt. Trucks are stupid expensive.

The market will have to deflate on them. I just can't see them selling many priced at 80-100k.

Auto industry was shown they do not have to abide by free market system when they were bailed out.

Ive been eyeing a large SUV for several months.

Prices on the same model and years have gone UP over the last several months, by multiple thousands of dollars.

Jokes aside, truck prices are pretty incredible.

It’s like they are made of 14k gold.

It’s weird.

I have never met a person that doesn't pay 10-13k less than msrp on a ford or chevy.

I got an 01 F150 lariat 4x4 crew cab. I saw a window Sticker for my truck and was 32k.
Now that package will run you 50k sticker.

I realize folks don't pay sticker. It's just for reference.

I work as an I.T. admin for 17 new car dealerships. I get to walk the lots, browse, and not get harassed by salesmen. Best perk of the job lol.

It will. The highest trim packages for heavy duty trucks sell for near 100K, but there has to be a balancing point somewhere. I know I will not but another if they continue to rise. I’ll just keep mine until I’m dead.

He kind of already has. Because of fleet fuel efficiency standards ford has to sell a bunch of shitty fusions to offset the low mpg of trucks. They sell those shitty fusions at a loss. Guess where they make up that margin?

You want prices to go down roll back fleet efficiency standards.

"I can't afford $100k"

"oh sir, we can finance you at 30 years"

"Oooo, I can afford it now"

Negotiate and then walk out. They'll call you around the end if the month. Remember, invoice price is a joke. Start way lower.
