Is he suggesting the government would actually use nuclear weapons against its own people? You decide.....

Yeah. Time to gather ammo. This is also good reason for the Posse Comitatus act. To prevent demigogs like Swalwell from coming into power and using the armed forces against the people.

Biggest reason he's an idiot is the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines are solidly and uniformly down with the conservatives. And the day a lib government orders military action against the more solid and pro-America conservatives is their last day in power in these United States as the guns will be turned around. And on that point you can be sure.
So whose freaking military are they gonna order to take action against American citizens? The Venezuelan Army? The Iranian Army? The Chinese Army? Oh maybe the English will have the Labor party in office by then and the Muslim Mayor of London will lead an American invasion...LOL, the British are coming.

Splitting Hair's? You mistakenly ascribed a direct line of text to the wrong document and though both were written in the same era they are in fact separate political masterpieces. We have to be correct when you espouse the American ideal especially in the context of fighting back to keep our rights. you should always strive to be correct so that those in power can't claim we are ignorant.

Agreed. However, I think that the military would take the side of the citizens defending the 2A. They are predominantly Republicans. So are most police forces.
