Didn't see anything posted about this on here..

Democrats in California have proposed an amendment to take half of the tax savings businesses in their state get from the recently-passed federal tax cuts.
California would seize the savings via a proposed "tax surcharge" on any tax reform benefits, The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
"A proposed Assembly Constitutional Amendment by Assemblymen Kevin McCarty, D-Sacramento, and Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, would create a tax surcharge on California companies making more than $1 million so that half of their federal tax cut would instead go to programs that benefit low-income and middle-class families."?
Democrats love to take other peoples money... If this goes through I wonder how many silicon valley companies or others leave the state??

Texas still has plenty of room for even more companies that want to leave California.

This might be how they turn Texas blue....employees that voted D when their companies were in California aren't going to start voting R when they move.

Jesus titty fricking christ, there's a reason that Atlanta has become Hollywood East. NOLA too, to a lesser extent. They won't be taxed out the arse. How do these politicians not get this?

If this was happening under Obama there is no way they would even bring that up for proposal...

The mind of a Democrat:
Those "tax savings" were government money and it belongs with the government. So the state taxes half of what was government money while generously leaving the business with the other half which they actually should have never had.

You'd just be inviting prog voters to move in to your state. Might not be worth it.
Jimbeaux already beat me to this point.
