don't worry though, this does not mean they won't be shitting in the streets in San Francisco anymore!

It really can't, Cali has AT LEAST 150K homeless, so 15,000 rooms will cover less than 20% at 2 to a room...

OAN Newsroom
UPDATED 5:55 PM PT — Friday, April 3, 2020

California Governor Gavin Newsom seeks 15,000 hotel rooms to help house the homeless amid the coronavirus pandemic. On Friday, Newsom announced the state has “obtained nearly 7,000 rooms” to use and are en route toward a 15,000-room goal.

Hotels in the program will include “custodial laundry, security and support staff.”

The governor confirmed the federal government will be taking care of a majority of the costs.

“FEMA is providing 75 percent reimbursements for this project, this is first in the nation,” stated Newsom. “Their support is profoundly significant to address this crisis head on.”

Taxpayers will provide housing for the homeless at an unprecedented, and permanent, level when this is over.

That will make the 'homeless' count in the census much lower.

After all, they have will have a home now.

They arent homeless because of a housing shortage

This is dumb. Are they gonna let heroin dealers come into the hotel to give these folks their fixes?

Are taxpayers responsible for the remodeling after they destroy interiors?

Are the $180k/yr pooper scoopers furloughed with life time benefits?

Nothing like being forced to house a bunch of drug addicts...Hotels will be trashed and unusable after they leave......correction....if they leave.

Those hotels will need a complete remodel after those animals are done with them.

Might as well torch em and collect the insurance versus dealing with street shitters.
