Multiple CEOs exiting now. They say POTUS was extremely engaged, focused, and assigned some of them "homework".
Jack Welch said he's been involved in POTUS meetings since the Carter Administration. He said, "This is the most exciting Presidential meeting I've ever been in."

President Donald Trump met with a group of key executives Friday amid some corporate concerns about his early policies.

The panel, which advises Trump on economic policy, convened at the White House missing one former member, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. He stepped down from the group Thursday amid customer pressure over the company's reaction to Trump's executive order temporarily barring travel from seven Muslim-majority countries.

Before the meeting, Trump told reporters at the White House that he would address the Dodd-Frank financial reform act and the banking industry with the group. Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman, who chairs the council, told CNBC that he saw "complete engagement from everybody in the room."

"We talked about tax, we talked about trade, we talked about infrastructure, we talked about women's issues ... we talked about jobs in terms of training people in technology," he said.
....

Former General Electric CEO Jack Welch, who attended the meeting, told CNBC that Musk did talk about immigration, but did not say what he specifically addressed. He said "there were several debates" about immigration and women's issues and "an enormous discussion" on regulation and job creation.

He added that executives were told that "clarity was coming" on the application of Trump's immigration order.

As she left the White House, Barra told CNBC the group had a "very constructive dialogue about a wide range of things" but did not say whether any executives disagreed with Trump.

Welch added that Trump is “deeply involved” in all issues and that he truly acted like “a peer” with the group. The former CEO also said Trump was the first truly “engaged” president since the 1980s and that the meeting was “fabulous.”

Eventually he'll begin firing CEOs from his Council on Economic Development one by one until there is just one, and that guy gets to be the business outreach Czar.

I hope Trump ushers in a new era that says you don't have to be a Politician to be a successful President.

This is the only thing the media actually cares about. They're looking for their lead story for the next couple days so they can paint this meeting as an abysmal failure.

Nah.
e.g., Indra Nooyi was there.
I'd love to have been a fly on the wall to hear her comments.

She has been an outstanding CEO. But she was a huge HRC supporter.

Deep down this is why they dislike him. They are afraid he will get things done that betters hardworking American lives without being politically correct. This will make these lifelong, paycheck-collecting politicians feel like anyone can do their job. In turn rendering them useless

In all seriousness, I thought it was interesting she was at the table though.
