Broward County Sheriff’s Office had received 20 calls in the last few years about shooter

From The Hill:

quote:

A sheriff said Friday that his office received around 20 calls about Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old suspect in this week’s shooting at a Florida high school that left 17 people dead and wounded more than a dozen others.
Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel told reporters that his office had uncovered “approximately 20” 911 calls relating to Cruz over the last few years, and that his office would investigate how those calls were handled.
“We have uncovered at the Broward Sheriff’s Office that we’ve had approximately 20 calls for service over the last few years regarding the killer,” Israel said. “Every one of these calls for service will be looked at and scrutinized.”

Amazing that they were so forthcoming with that info. Either they have really shitty lawyers or they know it’s actually much worse than 20 calls.

So glad people reported suspicious behavior

Well, we know now reporting doesn’t help

Some people in law enforcement better lose their jobs for this colossal screw up!

re: Broward County Sheriff’s Office had received 20 calls in the last few years about shooter
So the Local Sheriff Dept received 20+ 911 calls about this person and nothing ever came of it? Plus the FBI received a very specific tip that this person was going to shoot up a school and did not follow up on it?

This person was basically yelling from the rooftops his mass murder plan. The public heard his cries and reporting it but local and Fed LEOs did NOTHING?

It is frightening that it is so easy for a lunatic to legally get his hands on a weapon of this caliper but damn the blood is on the hands of the LEO community who did nothing to stop it when they knew about him well in advance.
