Breyer leaving the Supreme Court on Thursday
Posted by ItzMe1972

Justice Stephen Breyer has notified the White House that his retirement will be effective Thursday, June 30, at noon ET.
In a letter to President Joe Biden, Breyer said it had been his “great honor” to participate as a judge in the “effort to maintain our Constitution and the Rule of Law.”
He said that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is prepared to “take the prescribed oaths” to begin her service as the 116th member of the court.

Brown is Biden's pick so I can't help but think she'll be about as worthwhile as the "wise Latina" who seems to have never read the 10th Amendment.
I have a feeling the Wise Latina may actually appear to live up to her name when compared to this shitshow coming in.
strong black woman gonna come in hot making her feels responses to every dissent.
gonna be recognized as 'the legal mind of the millenium' by all the media & proggies
imagine if the dems hadnt cheated and trump was replacing breyer and thomas right now

Justice Stephen Breyer
His dissenting opinion in NYSRPA v. Bruen is one of the more intellectually shallow things I've ever read from a Supreme Court justice.

Nothing political. Just a cool chart showing the term of each SCOTUS Justice and who appointed him/her.

What about Sotomayor?
She's 68, overweight and has diabetes. If she doesn't retire within the next 18 months, Republicans retake the Senate, it will be the McConnell Rule and then possible 4-8 years of Republican President. I don't think she will be on the court for 10+ more years.

What does this mean for those cases that have not been decided yet? I'm mainly curious about West Virginia v EPA

I'm really hoping her diabeetus holds off until a GOP prez is in the WH.
Obama putting her in with her age and health was stupid on his part.
