Excellent. Can they do something about Snapchat now? My 13 year old son tells me that Snapchat is necessary to have a girlfriend bc that’s how girls communicate but I’ve never allowed any form of social media.

I understand and agree with the national security reasons of the ban, I only wonder about the timing and potential backlash.
Not that pissing off mostly 13 year olds who will throw feet-stomping temper tantrums that they can't post 60 second mashups of themselves dancing or talking to themselves at different angles, but there are a frick ton of 13-year-old 20-30 somethings these days.

TikTok is an absolute cancer to our culture and needs to be eradicated. The stupid fricking TikTok dances, whores, and hot takes on there are the absolute worst. It’s a miracle that he’s banning them, his job is to do the right thing and what’s best for this country, not bid for re-election exclusively, and he did just that on this move.

Whatever the case may be, it’s heavily influencing the way kids act in the real world and it’s creating a generation of super-cellphone-addicted autistic freaks who can’t function for 5 minutes without checking their phones. TikTok is highly addictive, pro-MAGA or not. Keeping Up With The Kardashians ruined an entire generation of girls, and TikTok was well on its way to ruining another. Good riddance

We as parents need to do better. There is no reason a kid needs to have internet access on a mobile device in their hands 24/7. They really shouldn’t need a phone until driving age. And even then why can’t it just be a cell phone instead of an internet enabled computer. We as a society have wronged our kids.

Definitely could be. I hope when I have kids I can keep them off the social media, I have a deep hate for all of it except tigerdroppings. Luckily the wife agrees (for now).
Unfortunately all this garbage is here to stay. The good a week with no cell service does is awesome
