Dallas ISD and Dallas' Clay Jenkins can go get fricked. All others like Houston, San Antonio, et al, too.

Just announced on local news on CBS11.

Dallas Morning News - next steps for Clay Jenkins is the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans to claim 14th Amendment protections

Good. Texas kids will be able to communicate better with their teachers. Student teacher communication is already bad enough, but sick a mask over a teacher face it becomes much worse.

Good. If you want to wear a mask wear a mask if you don't don't. It should be up to the person not the government to dictate that, pandemic or no pandemic.

LFG.

We did masks for a year and they didn't work. There is 0 proof that they worked as we had insane spikes while masks were in effect and months with no spikes while not masking.

the current spike with no masks is a fraction of the spikes this fall and winter.

instead what we got was a bout of RSV and flu that were lurking around the corner (just got done wrecking me and my family.. not covid after 8 tests) biding their time that our bodies built no immunity for.

my kids' school wasn't instituting a mask mandate, but it's private anyways.

I'm okay with the teachers wearing masks if it prevents the kids from understanding the CRT shite they are teaching. Teachers leave those kids alone ~Pink Floyd

As someone who has had a severe hearing loss since age 3, I would have had a very difficult time understanding the teachers. It was hard enough, as it was.

This pandemic has been extremely difficult for people like me.

This shines a spotlight on why the Left intimates judges, buys AGs and DAs. They know they are going to break laws, and know they are in the wrong. Therefore, they know they need to control the judicial system in order to win. It’s why Soros takes tax payer funneled cash and uses it against Americans to place marxists in key roles in state positions across the country.

So you agree with top down decisions and not leave it to local districts to make their own decisions?

I don't think schools should mandate masks, but at the same time, I think making a rule to force schools to not be able to do it is wrong.

Same way I don't think Biden should force masks on everyone. Each district is different and can make their own decisions.

What the Abbott EO does is take the "decision" away from the "top down", as you called it, and makes it a "bottom up" decision by parents for their own children, completely removing the tyranny of government types dictating decisions for parents.

Our neighbor, who begrudgingly works for Houston ISD, said they know this isn't a temporary halt , they are dead in the water.

Apparently this is basically temporary paperwork until it can be permanently signed, sealed, and delivered.

They were sending out emails and text messages to parents with fake news saying "Abbott will not allow masks this year" if we don't win.

Very happy for anyone stuck in one of those ISDs. Plenty of beautiful homes for sale in 77386 if you want to move to normalcy!

How is this a bottom up? He is making a blanket law forbidding mandating masks.

There could be a school district that fully wants to mandate masks and is not allowed.

How about we leave it up to districts to know what is best for them instead of having the government tell us what is good for us?

My kids school district had already told our county judge to frick off. They were following Abbott's order, not King George. Hoping they hold the line and let us parents decide.
