Louisiana will be Republican in 2024. It's not that big of a deal. Rispone was an awful candidate.

Blame the 100,000+ "conservative" voters who voted for JBE today.

Scalise or Kennedy would have made this a landslide but they are smart enough to stay in Washington.

Hard to argue that .....Kennedy or Landry would have won this in the Primary.

It tells you they are in on the whole "frick Louisiana" institute as well.

He's going to get 49.5% of the vote against an incumbent. That's a good enough candidate.

I worked for the La GOP in college. It’s a fricking joke. The little short midget that got caught on Ashley Madison was the head of the la GOP.

It’s a shitty group.

In an open primary system, the state party has zero influence over who runs. The three popular state-wide republicans (Landry, Kennedy, and Scalise) all refused to run, likely believing it was a waste of money to run against an incumbent and didn’t want to risk the blow a loss would do to their career. They’ll wait for an open seat in 2023.

49% as a republican in a deep red state is pretty bad

Imagine a Democrat getting 49% in Washington
