The liberal filmmaker — who last year performed an anti-President Trump show on Broadway — claims after Trump, then a host of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” found out that Stefani’s paychecks as a coach on the network’s show, “The Voice,” were bigger than his, he was determined to prove his popularity to NBC with a political run.
"He'd been talking about running for president since 1988, but he didn't really want to be president,” says Moore.
“There's no penthouse in the White House. And he doesn't want to live in a black city,” Moore added of Washington.
“He was trying to pit NBC against another network, but it just went off the rails."
Moore gave no indication on what he based his claims about “Hollaback Girl” singer Stefani and Trump. LINK

Second, any possible way Trump just saw how completely jacked off the rails the country had become after Bush-Obama and just wanted to get the country that had been so good to him back on the tracks?
