The idea of the histrionics that will ensue if places like 4chan turn Black Panther into a symbol of the "alt-right" is almost too funny to comprehend. The sky would be literally shaking from the screams.

It's not wrong. Azari, T'Chaka, and T'Challa have always been isolationist leaders.
The main reason is and was to prevent other nations from invading and poaching their primary resource, vibranium (the rarest and most versatile mineral on Earth in Marvel).
T'Challa is actually the LEAST isolationist of his line.

I've been saying this a long time, I don't see any moral problem with any group adopting this model, be they black, white, asian, jew, muslim, etc. As long as they don't war on their neighbors, let them be.
