Now with Nungesser and Kennedy both not running…does this clear the path for Garret Graves?

Sharon Hewitt is a top notch candidate. We would be lucky if she was elected our governor.

Garret Graves

Doesn’t fit for those that don’t care for career politicians. He’s never had a job outside of politics. Started as an aide/ intern/ gopher when in school. That doesn’t impress me.

No thanks to Graves. I can’t wait to vote against him next election for house rep.

I would rather vote for Xan John

While this is true, he’s been exceptionally competent in those positions. He did an excellent job at CPRA. While I definitely don’t agree with Graves on some things, I can recognize that no Louisiana republican can match his competency in managing people, his drive to be EVERYWHERE when campaigning, and his incredible ability to manipulate even hostile crowds into liking him. Dude is just an elite politician.

Some politicians are policy wonks, some are machine children of nepotism, some are parliamentarians who exploit their meticulous knowledge of the rules, some are charismatic personalities, some are expert administrators, and some are talented debaters. Graves is literally all of the above. He will rise in politics as far as his donors decide to fund him.
