Xi is feeling some internal heat going into the annual retreat at Beidiahe

Editorial

quote:

As the US military reconnaissance plane has been approaching the coast of Guangdong for three days in a row, the tensions between China and the United States have gone beyond empty words.

That said, the tensions in the South China Sea are clearly not as high as those in the Beidaihe. The seven members of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee have not been seen in public for seven days in a row until yesterday. Under normal circumstances, they should be on holiday in Beidaihe.

Rumors of the power struggle are rampant, and perhaps this is why despite China’s accusations of the US military provocations, there have not been counteractions. Of course, in the face of US aggressiveness, the CCP can still claim that it is a strategic retreat, which will not damage its glamorous image.

According to the information released by Beijing’s South China Sea Strategic Situational Awareness Program, the US Army deployed E-8C reconnaissance aircraft, RC-13 reconnaissance aircraft, P-3C anti-submarine patrol aircraft, and EP-3E electronic reconnaissance aircraft to reconnoiter near Guangdong from Aug 5 to 7, and the closest approach to the territorial sea baseline was less than 60 nautical miles.

Last month, the US military reconnaissance aircraft had approached the coast of Guangdong seven times. Military observers believe that the frequent deployment of strategic reconnaissance aircraft by the US military is to upgrade battlefield construction and conduct substantial electronic countermeasure training.

In a tweet, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying accused the US of "pure military provocation, military pressure, and military coercion. However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has not formally protested to the US. When Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe spoke with US Defense Secretary Stephen Esper yesterday, he only asked the US to stop its misguided actions and words.

However, there is no shortage of news on the internet that China has won without a fight.

A prominent fund manager forwarded news that the US House of Representatives voted 224 in favor, and 194 against, with 13 abstentions, to pass a war powers resolution aimed at limiting Trump's military actions in the Taiwan and South China seas, calling on the president to end the use of US military force in hostilities against other militaries.

Lol. So they want to remove his power to act against military threats period? No conditions?

AOC, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Talib getting a vote on what our military does is unbelievable.

With 4 more years of Trump, China will be in an economic and societal catastrophe and they're scared to death Biden won't get it done.

As Trump said the other day, "I would say our relationship with China has changed since the coronavirus."

The theft these people were getting away with was only going to last so long as the US continued to buy their shite. Biological attack was a bridge too far. Now, we simply shut them out and crash their economy. The people will take care of the rest.

Biden is easy to push around. The guy already said before that he wants Taiwan to become part of China. That told Beijing everything it needed to know.

It’s pretty simple. A vote for Biden is a vote for China.
A vote for Trump is a middle finger to that communist shite stain.

Greatest cult film of all time.

By the way, Kurt Russell is one of the few true Americans in Hollywood. Libertarian.

quote:

In 1996, he was quoted in the Toronto Sun saying: "I was brought up as a Republican, but when I realized that at the end of the day there wasn't much difference between a Democrat and Republican, I became a libertarian."

quote:

Kurt Russell: I'm Not a Republican, I'm Worse. A Hardcore Libertarian

quote:

Like many libertarians, Russell says he found his way toward the light as a young person unable to "buy into a political culture" and found the roots of libertarianism in the Founding Fathers, who he describes as "pretty radical guys, and damn smart" with "great ideas." Getting more specific with his political philosophy, Russell adds:

I believe in limited Constitutional government, free market capitalism, reach for the brass ring. There's this place where you can go do that and don't step on anybody's toes and still try to reach for the brass ring.

quote:

He describes Bill Maher as a "nice guy" but a "faux-libertarian" and says the reason he doesn't appear on Maher's show (or any political talk shows) is essentially that he'd prefer not to come off like a typical celebrity blowhard. Russell's preference for civil political discussions conducted in good-faith is pretty refreshing:

I always had a good time talking about things with people. The thing people did get to know about me if they engaged me is that I'm fair, I'm pretty energetic, and I'm pretty knowledgeable. I don't pop off without finding out about stuff—and I like finding out about stuff, and don't have that much of an agenda about it.

Agree 100%. China‘s CCP is a very determined and maybe desperate enemy of American freedom. They want to dominate the world.
