"When it comes to the gas prices, we are going through an incredible transition that is taking place, that god-willing when it's over, we'll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels."

They like these high prices. They want us off the road or buying battery cars. Obama said he'd raise gas prices to 5 bucks a gallon if he could. It's climate crisis bullshite.

They think a solution will magically appear. They are not the party of science. They are the party of mysticism and sci-fi.

You can remove the “dumb”; it’s redundant

Will only drive natty gas consumption and prices higher.

In other words we can plan on 10-15 years of more high gas prices (longer in many countries) while the technology of greener options gets worked to come online.

That's the tool but it's not the genesis of their misguided view. I think it has to do more with the people in power coming from urban areas. In large cities these rich politicians and CEOs have cars. But the masses take rail, subways, buses, etc.
That makes some sense in a place like NYC since it would be a mess if every single resident drove in a car every day.
But that's not how the rest of America lives.
They are totally unconnected with people who don't live in densely populated places. I drive an average of 60 miles a day. And I'm retired.

They started this global warming crap 20 years ago. We still can't find anything better than fossil fuels. If something better comes around, the free capitalist market will adopt it just like it did fossil fuels.

He should be impeached and prosecuted for that statement alone. It tells you exactly that this is all planned.

So basically.. what the incompetent transportation Secretary said. Buy a Tesla.

Hey. If you order a Tesla, Ford Mach-e, or Ford lightning…. You may get the Tesla by years end. The others are next year.

Lots of good it’s doing now.

And I can’t for the life of me why no media.. at all.. is asking them what they are doing about the poor and how they are going to afford a 50,000 dollar (on the low end) Tesla.

The energy transition. Or is this another one of those feigning ignorance type questions?

I don’t recall the government getting involved between the horse/buggy and car industry.

They didn’t tip the scales between passenger boats and the growing airline industry.

Why the fck is government picking winners now?

Necessity has ALWAYS been the mother of invention.

You think that's what he was referencing? Seems to me he's conflating some things.

I don't recall deciding that I was transitioning from gas to electric

And when 81 million people vote for him again, will people then believe election fraud?

No they don't. Everything that happens in government happens for a reason, there is no accident. Just like the Afghan "debacle", the Ukraine war, and everything else that occurs.

They've come out and told people everything they plan to do and people still can't figure it out.

Electric requires gas (the natural version).
