Biden: Why everyone is talking about the new president’s watch

Joe Biden’s inauguration watch caused a stir online after it was pointed out the new president wore a $7,000 Rolex to get sworn in.
Mr Biden picked a stainless steel Rolex Datejust with a blue dial to wear on his first day in the White House on Wednesday.
The watch was a departure from some previous presidents, such as Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama, who chose less expensive timepieces, according to the New York Times.

Trump incited a violent insurrection against the very government he headed that cost lives, but Biden wore a Rolex. Both sides,” tweeted @colesstreetpoth.

Another user, @tubunmuzuru, tweeted: “Knowing Biden, there's probably a heart-wrenching tale worthy of O Henry in the provenance of that Rolex - which Biden won't tell because he's the kinda guy who thinks self-aggrandisement is gauche.”

When he left office, at 74, he had the opportunity to make money. He took it. I don't begrudge this 78-year-old lifetime public servant his Rolex and Peloton. Sorry.”

The Left will always excuse their idols’ excesses that were enabled by the backs of taxpayers.
They are furious at the perception of excess from a person who made their own money.

They certainly will fall all over themselves to protect and uplift the image they want everyone to have of chairman xiden.

I don’t see what the big deal is in a rich person wearing a nice watch. And $7,000 is a fairy inexpensive Rolex tbh

Oh now the narrative is Biden didn’t make money til he was out of office. Oh ok.

The best example I can always give of this stupidity is a lefty I knew on the subject of W and Gore.
Gore lived in a house that gave off more greenhouse gas in a month than most houses did in a year.
Bush’s Crawford ranch was ecologically sound and had a low carbon footprint.
Yet Gore was great for “fighting the good fight” and W was evil for not forcing his own choices on everyone else.
Scratch a greenie, find a commie.

Biden was one of the poorest Senators in the history of the country. Getting picked as VP was the best thing that’s ever happened to his personal balance sheet.

May have been his son Beau’s watch.
He had a son named Beau that died of brain cancer.

Clown world we live in. Two scoops and a watch are stories but not policies by Joe costing thousands of people jobs right off the bat.

My Rolex is 12k. GeorgeTheGreek > Joe Biden.

Mr Biden, is it true you were wearing a Rolex watch for the inauguration?
"Look, here's the deal. My son Beau was a better man than Donald Trump or any of his supporters ever will be"
But did you wear that watch?
Come on man, what did I just tell you?
