The whole scenario is nonsense. Once a person pulls a knife, they have made the decision for the confrontation to have a lethal outcome. At no point should a police officer ever be required to put their own life at risk in an effort to preserve the life of a person trying to kill them. Anybody that thinks this way is an idiot.
A presidential candidate is literally suggesting the lives of murderers are more important than the lives of police officers. I assume it is because most of the murderers vote Democrat and most of the cops vote Republican.
