Why do Dems belittle minorities so much? It's like they, dems, are their owners and know what is best for their ownees.

Rural whites. It's understandable. My extended family lives deep in the Appalachian mountains, in wv. There're no public schools within a hundred miles of their village. There're no cars in the village. I had to use a damn 10 speed bike and 2 days riding through horrible terrain to visit them. It was natural that they can't read or write. There are plenty of villages like that one out there.

I don't understand how this issue is also in the inner cities. Inner cities are normally a few blocks away from public schools.

But by all means let’s keep the current welfare and education system in place. Improvement is the only possibility

He might be right to an extent. The fact that the parents don't care or aren't present is the bigger issue, though.

This. Too many absentee dads.

My wife is a teacher, and she will tell you that what Joe says may not be THE problem, but it is a part of the problem.

The biggest issue is single parent households, or those where grandma is raising the deadbeat child's kids.

Same as former Washington Redskins player Dexter Manley.

Went to Oklahoma State. Played in the NFL.

Couldn't read a lick. Got pushed right on through the system.

quote:

Here's the deal," he said to the waiter. "I want a mushroom burger with Cheddar cheese instead of Swiss. No, forget it. Let's do the old English burger with lettuce, tomato and onion, which I see there."

See, Dexter Manley was reading the menu. Dexter, who graduated from high school and stayed eligible to play four years at Oklahoma State when he couldn't read, then starred with the Washington Redskins, could handle Houlihans' menu. He made more sense than the waiter, actually.

"I can read my own book," said Dexter, and proceeded to open it to a random passage and read it. It tells how he got the courage to go to the Lab School in Washington for help learning to read because it was too painful not to.

The book is "Educating Dexter," which is the sequel to the locker-room whispers of "Dexter can't read." Dexter recalls how Jeff Bostic, lockering nearby, would hand him a paper to read in front of a crowd to embarrass Dexter.

Manley finally gets a read on education he missed

Mini Mike has called minorities criminals and had the NYPD go around throwing minorities against brick walls without reason to search them for reasons to put them in prison

If Trump is a klan member Mini Mike is worse than Unit 731

...and you think it has improved?

If anything the situation has gotten exponentially worse.
