2Reader's Digest version - Biden signed a bill that contained wording that makes any member who got a bonus for reupping now has to pay it back on a pro rated basis if they elected not to take the vaccine and in turn was kicked out of the military. That is beyond despicable imo. Talk about moving the goalposts. Guy reups, gets a bonus, covid comes along after the fact, a new rule emerges about being forced to take a shot, don't take it and your bonus is annulled and you have to repay it back.
What the hell is happening to this country?
This is exactly what the Democrats think of our service people.

I don't agree with kicking them out but recouping of bonuses when a service commitment is not fulfilled is pretty standard...

Bull shite it is. Of a guy gets a bonus for resigning and ends up off duty it isn’t clawed back. The only reason it is in this case is the why.
My son’s MOS and job currently has a 6figure resigning bonus - all cash up front. I just read the paperwork on it over Christmas. No claw back provision. This “law” is meant to be one more punishment for a group deemed “unclean” by the left.

Ex post facto law to collect. This is why lawyers exist btw.. good ones anyway... to protect the people from the government
The govt kicked them out through no fault of their own. Personally, this should be an easy case to win.

No, it was done when I was in and guys elected to get out early, were medically discharged, or were “kicked out”/discharged.
They get credit for the time they were in but have to give the rest back.

I’d agree with you except the government changed the terms of the deal after the fact. The government shouldn’t be able to unilaterally change the terms of the deal and then act like they’re not the ones breaking the original deal.

Taking money back from folks who served while simultaneously giving more and more money to people who have never worked a day in their lives is not a good look, and more people are starting to see it.
