So, a 7 TRILLION boondoggle.

Well, there goes our truck nuts baws. The proggies can't have the US becoming energy independent can they?

Warning that “we must take drastic action now to address the climate disaster facing the nation and our world,” former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday unveiled a wide-ranging plan to combat climate change and transform America’s economy. Using the Green New Deal as a framework, the clear front-runner right now in the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination announced he’s “calling for a Clean Energy Revolution to confront this crisis and do what America does best – solve big problems with big ideas.”
quote:
The price tag for the proposal -- named ‘The Biden Plan for a Clean Energy Revolution & Environmental Justice’ -- is $1.7 trillion over the next 10 years. Biden’s campaign said this would be supplemented by leveraging more than $5 trillion in additional private sector and state and local investments.
So, a 7 TRILLION boondoggle.
quote:
Biden, in a statement announcing the plan, emphasized that “more severe storms and droughts, rising sea levels, warming temperatures, shrinking snow cover and ice sheets -- it's already happening. We must take drastic action now to address the climate disaster facing the nation and our world.” And he warned that “science tells us that how we act or fail to act in the next 12 years will determine the very livability of our planet.”
Where the frick do they keep coming up with 12 years?
quote:
The campaign also said that a Biden administration would take action against fossil fuel companies and others “who put profit over people and knowingly harm our environment and poison our communities’ air, land, and water, or conceal information regarding potential environmental and health risks.”

Wouldn't a country be more energy independent with a decentralized energy grid?

quote:He doesn’t believe that, BUT it is extremely sad that he has to pander to the far left base to get the nomination. Hell the Colorado governor got booed at the California Democratic convention for saying “socialism is NOT the answer”.

Wait a sec... I thought AOC said the 12 years number was just a joke.

Do you honestly think this idiot's plan calls for a decentralized grid?

I'm still amazed that people think climate scientists are somehow ignorant of the role the sun plays in our climate

That and to cripple the oil industry by giving the technology of the future a leg up
Posted on 6/4/19 at 7:21 am to bmy
Then, why do they never mention it? It's all about fossil fuels every time one of these idiots opens their suck.

I am still amazed that climate scientists actually think man is causing the warming...
If they were aware of the role the sun plays in our climate, they would not be fudging their numbers to fit their narratives...

Maybe this is his plan to get out of having to run for his party.
If I was being pressured to run for something I didn't really want to do....latching on to something as insane as the green new deal would be a good way to get out of it.

Spend trillions on green energy. CME wipes out the grid and half the population. Money well spent.

Environmental Justice?
Sounds like he might need to aim his weapon at China and India
He says absolutely nothing about how he would do anything. He uses buzz words to generate a headline and get the leftist idiots to support him without exposing any real details of his plan. He's such a damn fraud just like the rest of all the 50 yr politicians.
Any American who has paid any attention to the Paris Climate Agreement would know that it's a simple reallocation of wealth to under-developed countries.
It allows those countries to operate on the honor system when reporting "Green" initiatives, while failing to hold China and India, the world's two largest polluting countries, to operate without any penalty.

Wouldn’t it help climate change if we made all of our own product so we didn’t have to ship them from other countries? Also wouldn’t it help to eliminate welfare and spend that money on solar rebates ?
