Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Tuesday he wouldn't be surprised if the Democratic National Convention is rescheduled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

When asked by MSNBC's Brian Williams if he could imagine the nation's top Democrats all gathered together in one arena 104 days from now, Biden said it was difficult to do so.

Biden has repeatedly rebuffed proposals to delay or reschedule the general election due to the virus, even as numerous states have pushed off their primaries to encourage social distancing. More than 32 states and territories have issued stay-at-home orders in the United States to curb the spread of the virus.

Speaking Tuesday, Biden conceded that this election may still need to include serious adaptations to protect the safety of voters. More voters may opt to vote absentee, and he even said it "may be virtual." He also mentioned the possibility of drive-in voting, akin to the drive-in testing for coronavirus that has been adopted by some states and countries to protect health care workers.

He also urged secretaries of state to start immediately looking into ways to make remote voting a possibility. President Donald Trump rebuffed Monday a Democratic push to digitize voting, saying such efforts to increase turnout would mean "you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again."

Convention-at-home?

Just do it through Skype. That's the new normal.

This was the DNC plan all along.
When they were left with 0% chance or candidate to defeat Trump, the DNC orchestrated the virus outbreak for this reason along with tanking the economy. The plan was to prop up Gov. Cuomo but he is now reneging on the deal causing panic among the DNC.

This is the most sensible thing Biden has said in a year.

Don’t be so sure. The convention was a prime time for the DNC to stick their leg out from behind the corner and have Biden trip and fall on his face just weeks before.

Then the DNC comes riding in with a new savior. One who couldn’t make it through the primaries if they participated.

Difficult to imagine Joe Biden debating Trump on live TV...for more than 30 minutes.

Likely will NOT happen.

Virtual Voting
Mail In Voting
Drive In Voting

The Democrats are going to rig this election so hard....it's going to be way worse than it ever has been before.
