frick up son randomly on the board of a Ukranian energy company, Burisma.

Advisor to said board emails for help directly to Hunter Biden and newly reconvicted Devon Archer in getting government party legal actions stopped against the company.

Email gets sent to lawyer. Plan discussed to get a lobbyist hired and communicating to the Ukraine desks at State.

Biden (father of frick up son and VP of the United States of America) on video confirming laughingly that funding was held over Ukraine's head to fire prosecutor going after Burisma.

I listened to the rest of the conversation. Fundamentally, he is speaking of corruption and fixing corruption in the Ukraine. In context, you wouldn't ask why was a prosecutor being asked to be fired and a huge economics package threatened over something at that level. In fairness, an argument could be made that actual corruption/bribery was going on against the company from the State and he should be fired. The issue comes into play with the placement of his son on that board and other benefits derived for doing the bidding of the company. The question of Joe would be why did the US want that prosector fired and on what basis.
